ACADEMICS / CONSORTIUM OF UNIVERSITIES

The Baltimore–Washington area offers hundreds of academic programs through respected colleges and universities, many of which are world famous. Several of these illustrious universities are members of the Consortium of Universities of the Metropolitan Washington Area, a cooperative venture of 12 local institutions. Through the Consortium, students have available to them not only the courses, faculty, and libraries of their own university, but those of the other member universities as well.

The 15 Consortium members include The American University, The Catholic University of America, Corcoran College of Art & Design, Gallaudet University, George Mason University, The George Washington University, Georgetown University, Howard University, Marymount University, National Defense Intelligence College, National Defense University, Southeastern University, Trinity College, University of the District of Columbia, and University of Maryland.
