Students receive a quality education in public and private schools from kindergarten through high school. The W. A. “Bing” LeCroy Technical Center in Clanton offers a variety of technical career programs but also serves as the Clinton County extension center for Wallace State Community College. With its main campus in Dothan, the college serves students of all ages by providing opportunities for an affordable start on a four-year degree, associate degree and certification programs, specialized training, and continuing education. Serving as the seat of Chilton County government, the leading community of Clanton is home to one of the county’s proudest icons: the Clayton Peach Water Tower. Artfully decorated to resemble a mammoth peach poised on a green stem, the water tower heralds the county’s position as the state’s largest peach producer.
