<\/b><\/strong>Voting in Ohio
\n<\/b><\/strong>Newcomers are urged to register to vote in Ohio, and must do so 30 days prior to the election. You must be at least 18 years of age on or before the day of the general election, be a U.S. citizen and a resident of Ohio for at least 30 days prior to the election. Those who are 18 years old on or before November 2 may vote in the primary election for candidates but not on issues. Options for registration are many, including any county board of elections, public schools and libraries, motor vehicle offices, or by mail. Voting in Kentucky
\n<\/b><\/strong>Newcomers who are U.S. citizens and have been Kentucky residents for at least 28 days are eligible for voter registration. Other requirements include being at least 18 years of age by the date of the next general election, having full civil rights, and not claiming the right to vote anywhere outside of Kentucky.
