Beautiful Camden County in the Inner Banks region of North Carolina is adjacent to Hampton Roads, Virginia as well as the beaches of North Carolina’s Outer Banks. Forming a consolidated city-county government with the county seat of Camden, this joint jurisdiction was the first of its kind in the state in spite of the fact that Camden is an unincorporated community. \nAlbemarle Hospital in nearby Elizabeth City\u2014part of Albemarle Health, northeastern North Carolina’s largest regional health and wellness provider\u2014anchors a comprehensive range of care. Although Elizabeth City is the picturesque leading city and Pasquotank County seat of government, this famous waterfront town actually stretches across the county line into Camden County.
