Twin Falls County is a county in the south central part of Idaho. It is home to over 80,000 residents, making it the sixth most populated county in the state. The county seat and largest city is Twin Falls with more than 50,000 of the county’s residents living there. The remaining residents are spread throughout small towns and unincorporated areas of this predominantly rural county.

Twin Falls is home to seven elementary schools, two middle schools, one alternative middle school, two high schools, one alternative high school, and one public charter school. More than 9,000 students receive their education through the Twin Falls School District, making it the eighth-largest district in the state and one of the region’s largest employers. Twin Falls is also home to private schools that focus on Catholic and Christian education. The county is also, home to the College of Southern Idaho. Culturally, educationally, and economically, the College of Southern Idaho has a huge role in the community and is a valuable resource in workforce development partnerships with local schools and industries.
Healthcare services and facilities are equally impressive in the area, which serves the routine and advanced medical needs of residents throughout the region. St. Lukes Magic Valley Medical center the main hospital for the county. It offers comprehensive services that are expanded by off-site facilities that include an urgent care center, a family practice residency clinic, a home health care center and more. Examples of specialized services include advanced imaging, a newborn intensive care unit, oncology and cancer treatments. The medical center is also designated as a Level III trauma center and provides 24-hour emergency service. Twin Falls is located in the Magic Valley of Idaho, which got its name in the early 20th century. This multi county region of Idaho is the agricultural center of the region.
