Older suburban neighborhoods  begin on the south side of town, blending into the older downtown district.  Newer construction and apartments tend to occupy the land toward the hills. Today, located 11 miles from  downtown Los Angeles, this community offers an abundance of two and three-bedroom  suburban homes.
