Public Education System<\/strong>
\nPrimary and secondary schools are under the control of their cities and towns in terms of the exact cut-off date for kindergarten and first-grade enrollment. The state mandates school attendance for children between the ages of 6 and 16 and requires school systems to operate kindergartens, but does not require children to attend them. State law requires the following immunizations: 5 DPT inoculations, 4 oral Polio inoculations, 2 MMR inoculations, 3 Hepatitis B inoculations, proof of lead screening, and evidence of a recent physical examination.<\/p>\n

MCAS Testing<\/strong>
