To register at the polling place, you will need proper  identification including proof of your address. Absentee ballots are also  available through your municipal clerk. To be eligible to vote in Wisconsin,  you must be a U.S. citizen who has lived in the state for at least 10 days. You  must also be at least 18 years old on or before the election day. The website  for the State Elections Board offers a downloadable and printable application  for voter registration that can be mailed to your municipal clerk. In  Wisconsin, not all municipalities require prior registration to vote. Poll  workers record the names and addresses of voters at those locations. To avoid  problems and delays, it is always advisable to bring a form of identification  the first time you arrive to vote.
