Hike or Rock-Climb in Paradise

More than 20 recreational facilities in the Prescott National Forest are available within minutes of downtown Prescott, including an equestrian facility for campers with horses. This area is also famous for its rock-climbing opportunities, crowned by the 7,600-foot Granite Mountain Wilderness that boasts some of the most challenging climbs in the nation. Hiking enthusiasts can explore miles of trails throughout the Prescott area, from the nature trail in Thumb Butte Park to backpacking trails in the nearby Sycamore Canyon Wilderness.
