The birthplace of Jimmy Stewart, one of the most beloved stars of the silver screen, Indiana Borough and surrounding White Township embodies the charm, values, and intimacy of small-town America. Characterized as a rural area, Center Township nevertheless claims one of the highest populations in Indiana County. Traditionally agricultural, the area is still home to thousands of acres of rolling farmland. Forests encompass the largest segment of land, however, covering nearly 14,000 acres with heavily wooded beauty. The selection of housing in the Center Township area is diverse, from older homes along tree-shaded streets to two-story Cape Cods and beautiful newer construction on spacious lots.<\/p>\n
