Together these townships create the northwest quadrant of Delaware County, offering an abundance of open space and farmland in comparison to most of the other population centers. Bethel has dedicated significant parcels of its township to agricultural concerns, while new residential construction is apparent in most of these townships.<\/p>\n

Both Aston and Brookhaven Townships are well-developed and primarily residential communities. Brookhaven is a relatively densely populated borough featuring single-family dwellings on spacious lots that range from 1\/4 to 1\/2 acre. One of the county\u2019s more well-developed areas, Chester City is primarily a residential community with some commercial activity. The adjacent Chester Township, however, is home to a significant industrial segment. Nearby, Upland Borough is characterized by a selection of older homes in affordable price ranges.<\/p>\n

Lower and Upper Chichester, Marcus Hook Borough, and Trainer Borough offers residents the advantages of a serene suburban lifestyle within commuting distance to major metropolitan areas. Both Folcroft and Sharon Hill are primarily residential communities that feature developments of single-family homes and multi-family complexes. Folcroft is the most highly developed of the two communities in terms of population and services.<\/p>\n
