<\/b><\/strong>Voter Registration
\n<\/b><\/strong>
\nTo vote in Utah you must be a U.S. citizen, a resident of Utah at least 30 days prior to the next election, and reside within a specific Utah voting district. The county clerk accepts registrations during regular office hours on any day except weekends, holidays, and a 20-day period immediately preceding any election. Mail-in forms are available in counter boxes in various public buildings such as banks, libraries, and post offices. However, these forms must be received by the county clerk at least 20 days prior to election day. Newcomers also have an opportunity to register to vote at the Department of Motor Vehicles or download and print a voter registration form for mailing into the county clerk’s office. Registration is permanent unless you move to another election district, change your name or address, change political party affiliations, or if you fail to vote for more than four consecutive years.
