The metropolitan center of Stockton is surrounded by a number of unincorporated communities that fall under the jurisdiction of the San Joaquin County government. The northernmost of these CDPs (census-designated places) is Morada, which enjoys a border of California Highway 99 for easy access to points north and south. Lincoln Village is unique as an unincorporated community that is completely surrounded by the municipality of the city of Stockton. Both August and Garden Acres share a location adjacent to California Highways 99 and 26 on the eastern side of Stockton. The western suburb of Country Club is bisected by Interstate 5, which also traverses the southwestern community of Taft Mosswood. Together, these communities expand the residential and lifestyle options for those who appreciate the first-rate urban conveniences and amenities available in Greater Stockton.
