Woodland Park is a city in Teller County, Colorado and is located just 18 miles from Colorado Springs. The city is home to just under 8,000 residents. It is located at 8,465 feet above sea level on the northern slope of Pikes Peak and is surrounded by the Pike National Forest and its more than one million acres of pristine forest. This idyllic location speaks for the name most often used to describe the community as “The City above the Clouds.” Woodland park has a climate to match its stunning natural beauty with more than 300 days of sunshine a year.

Woodland Park is a growing and vibrant community with a healthy economy based on a strong tourism industry – driven by the cities location and the natural wonders that surround it. The natural surroundings include unparalleled views of Pikes Peak and the Rampart Range, thick stands of spruce, pine and aspen. Outdoor enthusiasts use Woodland Park as their launch point for untold adventures. Fisherman can spend a day at Manitou Lake, just a few miles north of the city or Rampart Range Reservoir awaits just a short distance away. There are 25 acres of improved parks including Memorial Park, Meadow Wood Park, Bergstrom Park, and the Lion’s Park. These have playgrounds and multi-use facilities and can be used for picnicking, fishing, ice skating, softball, and even to host special events.
