The city of Lima serves as the educational center of the county, home to a campus for Ohio State University, a private university, the Apollo Career Center, and Rhodes State College. The University of Northwestern Ohio is a private institution founded in 1920 that encompasses five colleges including a College of Health Professionals and a Graduate College. UNOH provides more than 60 programs in such diverse areas as business, medical, legal, travel, information technology, marketing, high performance motorsports, agriculture, and alternate fuels.
