TAX & LICENSE / HUNTING AND FISHING LICENSES

Hunting and fishing licenses may be obtained from licensed agents that are conveniently located throughout the state. Licenses can be ordered online or by postal service through the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife. Residents must be able to meet the following requirements:
•  Must be continuously domiciled in Maine for at least three months prior to applying; resident aliens must be domiciled in Maine for one year
•  Must be in compliance with Maine tax laws
•  If licensed to drive, must have made application for or possess a Maine driver’s license
•  All motor vehicles that are owned by the applicant and located in Maine must be registered in Maine
•  If registered to vote, applicant must be registered in a Maine town
