The Meadowlands Sports Complex
Without a doubt, Meadowlands Sports Complex has proven to be one of the state’s most successful ventures. It was in the late ‘60s when the New York Giants and New York Yankees were first planning relocation to a swamp in New Jersey known as the “Meadowlands.” Despite waves of doubt and opposition, the vision of the New Jersey Sports & Exposition Authority became a blazing reality that enjoyed immediate, explosive success. The complex combines a world-class stadium, a state-of-the-art arena, and the nation’s top harness track to offer a full calendar of sports and entertainment events.
