Sixty miles north of Detroit, the City of Port Huron serves as the seat of St. Clair County and the hub of the panoramic region known as the “Blue Water Area.” St. Clair County carries this water-oriented moniker because its eastern and southern boundaries are formed by the waters of Lake St. Clair, Lake Huron, and the St. Clair River. The river forms the natural boundary between the United States and Canada, flowing along the southern part of the city until it reaches the twin Blue Water Bridges and the mouth of Lake Huron.

These twin bridges link Port Huron to Sarnia, Ontario, adding to the natural beauty and distinctive personality of Port Huron and St. Clair County communities. These magnificent side-by-side spans offer unlimited opportunities of international friendship, trade and recreation. Massive freighters from around the globe combine with personal watercraft, traversing the river and passing under the bridges. The result is a constantly changing panorama of fascinating waterfront images enjoyed by residents and visitors alike.
