Wisconsin law and most municipalities require that you license your dogs unless they are under six months of age. Annual licensing includes a vaccination against rabies. These vaccinations are strongly encouraged for cats as well, although the state does not require registration of feline pets. Many communities maintain leash laws and other regulations.
