Licenses are required in Missouri for fishing as well as hunting small and large game. The cost of these licenses varies with age (seniors and youth receive reduced rates), residency status, type of license, and duration of license. Non-resident licenses carry a significantly higher price. New residents are eligible for a resident license after 30 days. Fishing licenses can be purchased for as long as one year or as short a time as 24 hours. Licenses are available for purchase at local sporting goods stores.
