Claiming the only municipal airport in Pasco County, Zephyrhills is a growing semi-rural city that touts itself as the “City of Pure Water” and also the “Friendly City.” Zephyrhills Bottled Water, pure spring water drawn from wells and sold around the world, is one of the area’s claims to fame. Zephyrhills offers the vistas of hills and gentle breezes off the Gulf of Mexico from its vantage point northeast of Tampa. Careful planning by local leaders has enabled the community to graciously welcome nearly ten times its permanent population when the winter visitors arrive each year. The downtown district is continuing its revitalization program, and a new industrial park is well positioned to encourage quality economic development. The park is ideally located at the municipal airport, enabling it to support for one of the largest skydiving centers in the nation.
