The Omaha Metropolitan region is home to many Fortune 500 companies’ headquarters as well as a strong finance and insurance sector. More than $2 billion has been poured into downtown Omaha, a reflection of the region’s emergence as “the place” to do business. Omaha was listed among “America’s 50 Hottest Cities” for business expansion by Expansion Management. It also ranked among the Top 25 Cities for “Best Educated Workforce” in Business Facilities magazine, and was selected by Forbes as the Eleventh Best City for Business and Careers. Expansion Management cited Omaha as the third “Best Place to Locate your Company,” and Entrepreneur Magazine listed Omaha among the 20 best cities for small business.
