TAX & LICENSE / VOTER RESOURCES

Voters in Nevada must be United States citizens, at least 18 years of age, residents of Nevada at least 30 days prior to the next November election, and residents of a voting district. You may register with the county clerk during regular office hours on any day except weekends, holidays and the 20-day period immediately preceding any election. Registration agents in each election district may register persons who reside in the election district between the hours of 8 AM and 9 PM on specified days preceding each election. Another way that is convenient for new residents to register is to take advantage of that opportunity at the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Mail-in registration forms are available in counter boxes in various public buildings such as banks, libraries and post offices. However, mail-in forms must be received by the county clerk at least 20 days prior to election day. Voter registration is permanent unless you move to another election district, change your name, or fail to vote for more than four years.
