Located between the first and second chain of the Watchung Mountains, Cedar Grove shares a similar history with nearby Verona Township. Located in the southwest corner of Essex County, Millburn Township covers 10 square miles just 20 miles west of New York City. The southern border, adjacent to Summit and Springfield, is partially defined by Morris Turnpike or Route 124.
