Voting in Massachusetts
To register to vote in Massachusetts you must be at least 18 years of age on or before the next election, a U.S. citizen, and a resident of Massachusetts. To vote in a future election, you must register 20 days before all primaries and elections and/or 10 days before a special town meeting. If you have not received confirmation of your voting status, please contact your local election office. Newcomers can register to vote at the time they conduct their drivers license and automobile registration business at a branch office of the Registrar of Motor Vehicles.
