The Pennsylvania Department of Education relies on Intermediate Units (IUs) to act as the “intermediary” support system for the school districts within their jurisdiction. In some cases, an IU may encompass more than one county. The web page for each IU on the Department of Education website offers links and contact information for every district in the IU. Where IUs have two websites, the second one has been developed by the IU itself.
